OUR STORY
In 2008 Lisa Harrigan was selected as Miss Earth Calgary by the national office. Afterwards she began to work with Rostoro Productions and became the Alberta Provincial Director in 2009.
Contestants were selected based on telephone interviews from 2009-2011 and were given their titles based on their experience level & interview scores.
In 2012 the official Miss Earth Alberta Pageant began. From there our team has continued to grow.
Meet The Team
Lisa Harrigan
Provincial Director
Lisa Harrigan has an extensive background in the fashion industry. She began studying modeling at the age of 10 and has never looked back. Having trained under some of Canada’s top runway coaches, she has always received praise from her coaches and the designers she has worked for. Having appeared in well over 150 fashions shows she says she feels at home on the catwalk!
Lisa took Business Administration & Marketing in College and now owns her own business, Canadian Beauties – Event Management. She was previously the Model Relations Director for No Mercy Models and she taught modeling at the John Robert Powers Academy for 3 years. Currently she is the Events Manager for 90.3 AMP Radio & XL 103.
She has extensive experience in the pageant industry. At the age of 14 she began competing in pageants and has earned the titles of Miss Calgary 2006 & Miss Earth Calgary 2008. She has competed nationally 7 times in the Miss Universe Canada, Miss World Canada, Miss Earth Canada & the Rose of Tralee Western Canada pageants. Lisa has earned herself quite a reputation in the pageant industry and has won many awards. Her two most coveted awards were the “Beauty with a Purpose 2007” & “Beauty for a Cause 2008”, in addition to her many Miss Congeniality awards.
Furthermore she is the creator and director of the Miss Sun & Salsa Pageant & Miss Earth Alberta Pageant. In addition to being a modeling teacher she is also a successful pageant coach and pageant scout. Many of her students have went onto to win local, provincial, nationaland international titles.
Lisa has been featured in FFWD Magazine, The Calgary Herald, The Calgary Sun and in Alberta’s Bride & Groom.

Ashlea Moor
Environmental Advisor
Ashlea is an energetic and driven individual with a passion for life. She achieved her bachelor of nursing degree with distinction from the University of Lethbridge, and is nearing completion of her designation as a Holistic Nutritionist. Ashlea is currently working as a full time instructor for the NESA Bachelor of Nursing program, teaching both clinical and medical-surgical theory. In addition to her professional career, Ashlea enjoys modelling and is an avid volunteer who is actively involved with several organizations.
A seasoned public speaker and representative, Ashlea has travelled provincially, nationally, and internationally representing her various pageant titles and promoting her platform of environmental awareness. As Miss Earth Canada 2011 Ashlea embodied the mission statement of the Miss Earth Canada Pageant:
"Miss Earth CANADA’s mission is to promote environmental awareness among the youth and raise the quality of their involvement. To inform and educate everyone about ecological balance and preservation of the planet through evolving knowledge and communications. During her reign, Ashlea developed and promoted the "Go Green Initiative" on the premise that great things can be achieved through small steps. The "Go Green" program works to empower individuals and by doing so empower communities, nations, and the global population to recognize their ability to contribute to positive environmental change. In addition to speaking in schools and public platforms, Ashlea continues to support and encourage active engagement of the public in environmental initiatives.

Ashley Harrigan
Backstage Manager
Ashley competed in pageantry in her teens after following in her sisters Lisa Harrigan's footsteps. After years of competing Ashley hung up her high heels and followed in the foot steps of her parents and became a personal trainer.
In addition to a rewarding personal training career Ashley enjoys a variety of hobbies. She loves to lead an active lifestyle including hiking, biking, camping and fishing. She also enjoys baking, knitting and adding to her classic disney movies collection.
